The minute I saw these fabric hammocks in the net, I knew it was something I should really try. The old hammock that I had was thrown away by mom as it was already very run down due to all the years of use, and it was broken in some places making it a bit dangerous as it might break down anytime. But now with this new hammock that I am seeing online, I knew it was worth it as I saw the quality of the materials being used for these things and they were really durable fabrics. Many’s the time I have stayed at a friend’s place on a sofa bed which has been as comfortable or more comfortable than my own bed. Plenty of my city dwelling friends have at least one sofa bed to enable them to host guests in their small flats. The design of sofa beds has really come on as well. Do you remember the ones where you risked losing a finger or even a hand every time you tried to open it out or put it away? They used to have some seriously heavy engineering or they would be at the other end of the scale and have a mattress so thin that you couldn’t use it more than a handful of times. When I was a student we had a sofa bed in the flat which a lot of people slept on and it got more and more uncomfortable until you couldn’t sit on it anymore without a cushion under your backside! The sofa beds of today are impressive. Many of them show no sign of housing a bed and appear to be a normal sofa. I’ve even seen a great big corner sofa turned into a bed for the night which was astonishing.
I’m glad again of the existence of sofa beds this weekend as I’ve organised a big night out but three of my friends who live out in the sticks need to stay over and my sofa beds will come into their own to put them up. It’s worth spending a bit extra to get a sofa which becomes a bed when you are furnishing your place. You will definitely get your use and if you don’t want someone to stay over you can pretend that the sofa doesn’t turn into a bed!
Much More Than I Expected
Sunday, December 11th, 2011I don’t want to take one of them apart, box it and ship it out for return (what a headache). Apart from that I am extremely happy with this block coffee table. I even left it unassembled in my garage for two weeks thinking it would not give off any more chemical fumes/odors, but when I assembled them and brought it upstairs, if you sleep within 2-3 feet of these things, it’ll give you a headache or keep you up simply because it is so strong of an odor. However, I ought to have known something was up when I was only paying $40 for a “wood” nightstand. Drawer bottom is laminated hardboard. It looks excellent in our dining room under a black buffet shelf. The 8 toughest screws to install require an Allen wrench. I suppose that is about right. The doors have broken off of each within the first two weeks. Nevertheless, I ordered two and both had incorrect parts.
