Flying Experience Days – Can They Help with a Fear of Flying?

Many people are very scared of flying and flying experience days can help them overcome this fear. They are likely to take the flight with a few other people who are also scared of flying and this can help a lot with self esteem as they will realise that they are not alone in their fear.

For these special courses there is usually a trained psychotherapist on board the plane in order to counsel those taking the experience day. She or he will be specially trained to deal with a group of people scared of flying and can immensely help with dispelling the fear.

There may well be the option to visit the cockpit and the pilot or pilots; they will then be able to see how a plane is flown and talk to the pilot about their fears, asking him questions as to how he might react in certain situations.
